Course content
Science and technology. Forms of self-reflection in science and technology: philosophy, history, sociology, psychology, logic of science and technology. The historical transformations of technology and their reflection in the history of philosophy. The historical conditionality, formation and development of philosophy of technology. The birth and development of technology. Criticism of internalism and externalism from the perspective of technological development. The relationship between technology and culture and its explanation in philosophy and sociology. Criticism of technological determinism. The nature of technological rationality: the specifics of technological thinking. Technological creativity and its image in philosophy and psychology. Technological knowledge in the system of knowledge. Humans in the world of technology: some problems of technological culture. Technology as a form of self-reflection of humans. Globalization and scientific and technological complexes. Technological thinking, values and value orientation. Social assessment of technical artifacts.
