Course content
In seminars less difficult German scholarly texts are read. The supervised reading is focused on acquiring basic terminology of the humanities and it strengthens an understanding of the sentence structure and the common grammar. Working with text is guided in Czech nevertheless students are led to be able to present the main theses of the text in German. A list of particular texts is published on the Courseware.

  • Preparation for comprehensive test (10-40) - 39 hours per semester
  • Preparation for formative assessments (2-20) - 20 hours per semester

  • Attendance on a field trip (number of real hours - maximum 8h/day) - 4 hours per semester
  • Presentation preparation (report in a foreign language) (10-15) - 15 hours per semester

Knowledge
Intermediate knowledge of German language (B1) is expected.
learning outcomes
Students will be able to orient in less difficult German texts of humanities. They will be acquainted with the German terminology in humanities and they will be able to summarize the main theses of the text in German. They will be prepared for the next study of KFI/NOH.
