Course content
The course is designed for students who wish to complete PhD Theory and History of Science and Technology degree in the respective academic year. The exam from Philosophy and Methodology of Science is an obligatory part of State Final PhD Exam (Programme Basics). It is an oral exam in front of a jury, which generally lasts about 30 minutes. Defence of thesis submitted by a student is a part of it. The course and other requirements of the exam are regulated by the Study and Examination Statute of The University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. During preparation for the PhD exam, candidates may use individual or group consultation meetings with guarantors of disciplines relating to the exam areas.
