Course content
The following topics will be focused: Christian history of Czech countries; Slavic Christian tradition (St. Wenceslaw and St. Vojtech); Reformation and Jan Hus; Lutheran Reformation; religion during the turn of the 19. and 20. century; Churches and religious societies in Czech republic - contemporary situation; new nontraditional religions in Czech republic; the church law.

Course requires no special prior knowledge and skills.
learning outcomes
Students will be able to describe the development of Christianity in Czech countries and to explain the formation of Slavic Christian tradition from the beginning through the Reformation to the Enlightenment. They will be able to present basic religious problems during the turn of the 19. and 20. century and they will be oriented in the contemporary situation of Churches, religious societies, nontraditional religions and the church law in Czech republic.
