Course content
Selected topics of renaissance philosophy (humanism, aristotleism, platoism, nature philosophy, social philosophy); representatives of early modern period philosophy (empirism and racionalism); basic characteristics of Enlightenment and its philosophical programm.

learning outcomes
Students will be able to define and describe basic philosophical movements of Renaissance, early modern period and Enlightenment. They will distinguish the single attitudes and eyplain ther relation to the period intelectual, social and cultural context. They will analyze and compare philosophical attitudes and ideals on the basis of reading original and secondary literature. They will distinguish and formulate backgrounds and consequences of the philosophical thouhts of Renaissance, early modern period and Enlightenment.
