Course content
The course is designed for students who wish to complete BA Philosophy degree in the respective academic year. It is an oral exam in front of a jury, which each part generally lasts about 15-30 minutes. The course and other requirements of the exam regulated by the Study and Examination Regulations of The University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. Final (Bachelor) state examination consists of four parts: 1. Bachelor's Thesis Defense; 2. Examination in History of Philosophy; 3. Examination in Problems of Philosophy of XX. and XXI. century; 4. Examination in optional course - a) Ontology, b) Gnoseology, c) Ethics, d) Logic. During preparation for the BA exam, candidates may use individual or group consultation meetings with guarantors of disciplines relating to the exam areas.
