Course content
1) Methodological questions and the place of philosophy in interdisciplinary research of consciousness 2) Concept of subjectivity, phenomenal and access consciousness, hard and easy problems 3) Problem of qualia definition, knowledge argument, inverted spectrum argument 4) Epistemological and ontological obstacles by explaining consciousness 5) Methods of introspection 6) Representational theories of consciousness, sensorimotor theory of consciousness 7) Creature consciousness and state consciousness, higher order theories 8) Hard problem of unconsciousness 9) Neurobiological theories of consciousness, neural correlates of consciousness, recurrent processing theory 10) Cognitive theory of global workspace, attended intermediate representation theory, dynamic core theory 11) Theory of micro-consciousness, thalamo-cortical binding theory 12) Information integration theory of consciousness 13) Final remarks
