Course content
1) definition of region, information about Pilsen, Pilsen as an example of a particular region 2) specific features that help to define a region, geography, economy, culture, important places, monuments and personalities of a region 3) structure and function of a region, specific features of various regions 4) regional culture and press, the role of the cultural identity, language, local patriotism 5) scientific research tasks, methods, the problematics of interpretation, possible themes for research 6) research outcomes, genres of scientific research, discussion about the genres of scientific research oucomes 7) the activity of libraries, excursion to the Study and Research Library of the Pilsen Region 8) the activity of museums, excursion to the library of the Museum of West Bohemia 9) the activity of the National Heritage Institute excursion to the Ethnographic Museum 10) the activity of galleries of art, excursion to the West Bohemia Gallery 11) the activity of archives, excursion to the Archive of the City of Pilsen, information about the State Regional Archive 12) - 13) discussions, test, assessment of the test
