Course content
The character of Judaism in the period of the Second Temple; individual factions of the then Judaism; pillars of Judaism - mono-theism, the concept of the chosen people, the Law, the temple; Jesus' relationship to the temple; Jesus' relationship to the Law; the concept of the Messiah / Son of Man; the Jerusalem Judeo-Christian community; diaspora Jews and their role in spreading Christianity; Paul's relationship to Judaism; Paul's conception of freedom from the Law, Nazarenes; ebony; Christianity and rabbinic Judaism as the heirs of the Judaism of the second dam.
