Course content
Cultural life and his current trends in German-speaking countries. Differences between the major cultural and literary trends in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and other German-speaking countries in the European context. German means of expression within the artistic functional style (examples of selected works of German literature). Folklore in German speaking countries (comparison). Linguistic contacts and their influence on German culture (esp. in the Literature and language of media). Linguistic and content analysis of selected texts of fiction, journalism and professional (a popular educational) style - texts on topics mentioned above + examples of selected works of German literature.

  • Contact hours - 52 hours per semester
  • Preparation for an examination (30-60) - 60 hours per semester
  • Presentation preparation (report in a foreign language) (10-15) - 18 hours per semester
