Course content |
To translate technical German text concerning the topic of student´s thesis. To read, understand and reproduce German technical text. To pursue message, report, lecture in German language. To catch main idea of German text. To talk about student?s thesis, discuss and argue for their specialization. To present a message, report, lecture, contribution to a discussion.

Students will acquire foreign-language skills lead to make: -resume in German of a 150-page perused technical text on the basis of German original text, not only of text, which has been translated to German (3-5 pages) -a continuous text in German, which represents summary of graduant´s own technical work (e.g. article from technical magazine, report for research conference etc. (3-5 pages) -translation of 10 page hitherto not translated German technical text to Czech language. Students will also acquire communication skills: -students will fluently speak in German about their thesis and respond questions concerning chosen topic -students will read loudly and translate an original German text without using a dictionary Students will recognize grammatical phenomenon appearing in translated text. |
