Course content
The course aims to improve written and verbal presentation in public sphere (especially business sphere), communication with emphasis put on practical use, introducing of basic types of business letters (order, reminder, offer), various contract types, their content and other business texts, methods and forms of modern communication and main principles of correct business communication. Source of specific competences is especially analysis of didactically modified and authentic business correspondence texts, correction and auto-correction of students´ works.

to recognize, correct and, if necessary, to reformulate language and content errors in written speech
to compile your own written statement in accordance with the content of the various types of business letters

Knowledge
in German to describe the specifics of each commercial form
to describe the content structure of the different forms of business correspondence in German
to explain the key terms used in business communication (especially in emails and letters)
to characterize content and formally the individual components of a German written business letter
to assign appropriate equivalent terms and steady turnarounds in Czech and German business correspondence
Skills
on the basis of an analysis of the content structure to compile business letters in German language, in accordance with all the formal principles of each type of business letter
to apply the principles of working with lexicographical manuals, portfolio and verification by means of an Internet search for writing business letters in German
to analyze its own communications of the administrative functional style, perform the autocorectory based on the acquired knowledge and comment this in German
to analyze the content and structure of both sample and authentic business letters
to identify language and content deficiencies in communications created by other authors and to design their own solutions based on acquired knowledge
in building their own communications, take into account the stylistic specifics for the administrative functional style
