Course content
1. Crystal structure of solids 2. Experimental study of crystalline structure 3. Types of coupling forces in solids 4. Thermal properties of solids 5. Electron theory of solids 6. Band theory of solids 7. Metals, semiconductors and insulating materials.

Knowledge
Knowledge of physics in the scope of the introductory course. Elementary knowledge of quantum theory and atomic physics.
learning outcomes
The students will understand the laws of structure of solids and its influence on different physical properties. They will get acquainted with experimental results of solid-state physics.
