Course content
This course consists of these items: Geo-information Technologies (GI) - tools for processing spatial information. Data structures for GI. Raster data and its use. Vector data, the basic elements - points, lines, polygons. Remote sensing - fundamental tool for acquiring geographic data. Basic Operations of GI, geographic data retrieval and organization. A procedure for solving analytical issues. Basic database operations. Principles of creation of thematic maps, topographic maps, plans and graphic and tabular outputs. Hardware requirements for GI, software products.
