Course content
This course consists of these issues: Civilization on the Earth, its evolution and characteristics of its present state. A global approach to solving problems.: using Ignorance test. Gapminder web: how to visualize change of ky macroeconomic indicators in global context. Analysis of problems (causes and basis). Democratic development. Nutrition, health and diseases in population. Warfare threat. Exhaustibility of natural resources. Environmental threats. Natural disasters. The principle of sustainable development. Education for global responsibility. An overview of topics of lectures/seminars: - Models of the development - The principle of sustainable development - Global diseases - HIV / AIDS - Biodiversity - Global Warming - Global terrorism - Nuclear power, power stations and fuel - Orientation in different cultures
