Course content
|
The specific content of the seminar activities is specified based on the course guarantor's consultations with the supervisors of the students attending the course in the given semester and possibly the Chairman of the Industry Council. The course content for individual semesters is adjusted especially about the focus of individual students' dissertations and current doctoral projects being solved. - basic principles of academic writing - formal requirements of scientific texts and work with them (broader specificity of the text, brainstorming, thesis statement, topic sentences, annotated bibliography, outlining) - author's ethics, forms of plagiarism - choosing a methodology suitable for solving the research question, creating hypotheses - citation standards and devices - presentation of selected scientific databases (EBSCOhost, ProQuest Central, Science Direct, Scopus, Web of Science, etc.)
