Course content
The course content for individual semesters is adjusted especially with regard to the focus of individual students' dissertations and current doctoral projects being solved. At the same time, the conditions of the Announcement and the principles of the student grant competition in the given academic year are taken into account.

Knowledge
To successfully master the subject, it is assumed that the student is able to: orient yourself in the basic principles of scientific research work and the methodology of artistic research, formulate a research question and define the basic goals of your doctoral project, work independently with professional texts and use available information resources in the field of art and design.
Skills
In order to successfully master the subject, it is assumed that the student will be able to: formulate the basic concept of one's own research project in the context of doctoral studies, work with professional text in Czech and foreign language contexts, including the ability to analyze and interpret information, use the basic tools of academic writing and presentation of research outputs.

Knowledge
After completing the course, the student demonstrates knowledge of: the basic principles of project planning and the structure of the project proposal in the context of academic research, of the funding system for scientific research projects in the university environment, including the rules of the Student Grant Competition, requirements for the formal and content side of the grant project proposal and its anchoring within the doctoral study.
Skills
formulate and structure a research project proposal in accordance with the requirements of grant calls, effectively use acquired theoretical knowledge when creating one's own project plan, prepare a project proposal for submission to the iszcu.zcu.cz system, including orientation in the related administration.
