Course content
Introduction, definitions. Real world representation at maps and in digital data. Principles of vector representation. Principles of raster representation. Triangulet Irregular Network. Representation of attribute data. Relationships between sptatial data and its attributes. Geodatabase design. Population of geographic database. Processing and storing of geographic data. Analysis and synthesis of information. Visualization and map creation. Implementation of GIS. Trends in GIS.
