Course content
1. The teaching of civic education abroad, the European dimension in the teaching of civic education. 2. Examples of selected curriculum documents from abroad. 3. Historical myths and stereotypes and possibilities of early-school education. Media and civic education, formative role of civic education. 4. Everyday aspects of civic education topics. 5. Inter-subject relations in teaching civic education. Applying to a specific curriculum. 6. Educational role of civic education. Controversial themes in civic education. 7. Selected web portals usable for teaching civic education. 8. Analysis of selected SEPs - key competencies - examples of effective applications in civic education. 9. Analysis of selected SEPs - cross-cutting themes - examples of effective applications in civic education. 10. Current trends in civic education, literature, personalities, tips, examples of good practice. 11. - 12. Attendance practice and its analysis. 13. Summary of lessons.

Learning activities and teaching methods
  • Preparation for an examination (30-60) - 50 hours per semester
  • Graduate study programme term essay (40-50) - 40 hours per semester

State the principles and principles of project teaching.

Develop a didactic analysis of curriculum based on the subject of civic science education.
Based on expert criteria, we assess the quality of individual textbooks and study materials.
