Graduate of this course recognizes the possibilities of political propaganda in a democratic and totalitarian state. Students should evaluate the importance of Nazi propaganda for the history of the Third Reich, distinguishing between ?peace and war propaganda. Explain the methods of propaganda, describing the use of media, especially press, radio and film. Explain Goebbels theory about fun as the best form of propaganda and terror as its necessary complement. More generally, define the role of culture, science and sport for successful propaganda. Demonstrating changes in the language of a totalitarian socialist state. |
