Course content
1. Overseas discoveries 2. Reformation and Counter-Reformation 3. Development in Spain and the Dutch Revolution 4. Turkish expansion and Habsburg monarchy 5. The Thirty Years' War 6. France during the reign of Louis XIV. and the war on the Spanish heritage 7. The rise of Sweden and the Northern Wars 8. The English Revolution, Cromwell and the Stuarts 9. Prussia in the 17th and 18th centuries 10. Russia in early modern times 11. Asian Empires in Early Modern Times 12. Wars of the Austrian heritage and the Seve Year´ War

To be well oriented on the issues of the historical development of the Middle Ages and to have a basic awareness of the history of early modern Europe and the world.
