Lectures: 1) Diplomatics I (basic definitions, overview of the field) 2) Diplomatics II (documents, mandates, leaves, acta) 3) Diplomatics III (Official Book) 4) Diplomatics IV (office, issues of preservation of documents) 5) Diplomatics V (external and internal features, forgeries, editions diplomatic material) 6) Diplomatics VI (general development of official documents) 7) Diplomatics VI (Czech development of official documents) 8) Sfragistics I 9) Sfragistics II 10) Genealogy 11) Introduction to heraldry 12) Introduction to numismatics Exercise: 1) Reading of neogothic italics examples - 16 century. (I) 2) Analysis of the instruments I 3) Analysis of the instruments II 4) Reading neo-gothic font samples - 17 century. 5) Reading neo-gothic font samples - 18 century. (I) 6) Reading neo-gothic font samples - 18 century. (II) 7) Reading neo-gothic font samples - 19 century. (I) 8) Reading neo-gothic font samples - 19 century. (II) 9) The analysis and cognition of seals 10) Blason of the coat of arms 11) Learning about coins 12) Credit test Codicology, epigraphy and historical metrology are left to self.

Knowledge
Course content immediately follows the course PVH1. For practical reasons, the graduation rate PVH1 is strictly required, but it must be expected that any candidate who would like to registrate for the course must know previous curriculum and acquire additional skills.
learning outcomes
Graduate understands terminology and uses it correctly, reads texts written in Czech in neo-gothic type, knows basic types of material and diplomatic types, recognizes various parts of the instruments, blasons coat of arms, recognizes the basic types of historical coins, seals and correctly describes and identifies potential owner. Draws a tree of a selected families.
