Course content
At each seminar, students realize their skills that they prepare for themselves (singing and playing songs, singing and playing excerpts from the themes of famous compositions, playing and singing singing exercises): 1. Choosing of singing exercises for the needs of school practice and their specifics (age of pupils, their vocal potentiality - chromatic, descending, ascending, decomposition, ripetuto, bound tones, staccato, ...) 2-4. Student Presentation - Singing exercise with comments on their application 5. Criteria for selecting excerpts of famous compositions in the context of school practice (the student chooses and rehearses his own repertoire) 6-9. Presentation of students, rationale for choice 10. Criteria for selecting songs from textbooks and songbooks (age aspects, pupils' voice range, ...) 11.- 13. Presentation of students, discussion of continuous practice, self-evaluation The lesson in each lesson is directed to achieve those competencies that the student will demonstrate in the final exam of the subject. Exam: Student will play selected pensum of 10 songs (overture, own singing, transposition), 10 singing exercises with comment on their use, 5 excerpts of famous compositions with comment on their use of practice

To justify the selection of compositions for their use in school practice.
Clarify the principles of prelude to songs and their transpositions with respect to the vocal range of the pupils' voice.
Introduce basic types of performed singing exercises and clarify relevant terminology (ascending, descending, decay, ripetuto, legato, etc.).
