Course content
1. Winners and losers. Treaty of Versailles 2. Russian revolution 3. Revolution and contrarevolution. Polarization and politic culture after the year 1918 4. From Genoa 1922 to Locarno 1925 5. League of Nations in between wars. Idea and reality of collective security 6. Economic crisis 1929 7. Political consequences of economic crises in Europe 8. Experience with dictatorship (not only Germany and Italy) 9. Germany and middle Europe in the half of the thirties 10. European war "on small"; Spain 1936 - 1939 11. West and the way to appeasement 1936 - 1938 12. Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact and european constelation on the eve of the war 13. Summary of given subject matter and discusion
