Course content
1. Introduction, main parts of boilers, boiler losses and efficiency. 2. Fuels, their important properties, preparation of fuel for combustion. 3. Static calculation of fuel combustion, combustion chambers. 4. Burners, equipment for the transport of air and flue gas to the boiler. 5. Removal of solid residue after combustion. 6. Emissions, dispersion of solid pollutants, removal of harmful gaseous substances. 7. Classification boilers, thein function and main parts. 8. Air heaters, feed water heaters, calculation of heaters. 9. Evaporators, superheaters, preheaters. 10. Boiler drums, built-in equipment for steam purification. 11. Boiler performance kontrol, steam temperature control. 12. Feed water control, combustion control, operation of steam boilers. 13. Boiler starting and shut-down.
