Schedule of Lectures 1st week: Introduction to 3D CAD/CAM/CAE/PDM system 3rd week: Part Modeling 5th week: Assembly Modeling 7th week: Principles of Top-Down Design 9th week: Mechanism and Photorender , Design Animation 11th week: Fundamentals of Drawing Topics of seminars/tutorials/laboratory work according to weeks: 1st week: Part Modeling - Fundamental Skills Introducing the Interface, Quick Tips to Using a CAD, Creating Parts, Viewing Parts, Selecting Entities, Getting a Part's Geometric Information, Managing Parts in Model Files 2nd week: Using Libraries with Full CAD Data Management, Sketching and Constraining, Dimensioning, Building Sections, Using Sketch Planes and Understanding Sketch Pads 3rd week: Extruding and Revolving Features, Adding Features With Asociativity, Using Reference Geometry 4th week: Modifying Features, Using History Access to Modify Features 5th week: Adding Fillet, Shell, and Draft Features, Creating Patterns, Using Catalogs and Parametrized Parts 6th week: Modeler Troubleshooting 7th week: Design: Assemblies - Fundamental Skills Creating Assemblies, Using Assembly Configurations, Animating Assemblies 8th week: Fundamentals of Drawing 9th week: Creating Views, Assembly Drawings, Dimensions and Notes, Linear and geometric tolerances 10th week: Drawing Standards and drawing templates, Tables 11th week: Drafting tools, Symbols 12th week: Drawing Formats, Bills of material 13th week: Presentation of students projects

design a 3D model of a simple assembly of parts, perform measurements and analyzes (dimensions, collisions, weight, center of gravity) and draw general conclusions
Describe the possibilities of building a digital 3D model with an emphasis on the pitfalls of individual procedures in terms of editability and related steps (eg creating reports or drawings)
