Learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture supplemented with a discussion, Individual study
  • Contact hours - 52 hours per semester
  • Preparation for comprehensive test (10-40) - 20 hours per semester
  • Attendance on a field trip (number of real hours - maximum 8h/day) - 16 hours per semester
  • Preparation for an examination (30-60) - 50 hours per semester

be able to independently use knowledge in the field of mechanics, flexibility and strength, machine parts, design basics, material science, forming and welding
describe and explain at a higher level the structural solution of the basic nodes of rolling stock, which were lectured as part of KKV1
use your professional knowledge in at least one foreign language
knowledge in the scope of previous university studies is assumed

design selected structural structures of railway rolling stock and public transport vehicles on the basis of acquired knowledge independently use their knowledge of basic engineering and railway disciplines in solving practical problems in the design of machines and equipment use your professional skills in at least one foreign language independently acquire additional professional skills based on practical experience and their evaluation

Knowledge
describe comprehensively and explain at a higher level the possible structural solutions of the basic parts of the urban public transport system (hereafter public transport - metro, urban expressway, tram)
use professional knowledge in at least one foreign language
communicate clearly and convincingly the solution of the basic parts of the public transport vehicle, in detail the carriages and chassis and two-wheel drives, cabinets, interiors
explain and have your own opinion on the resulting design solution of the public transport vehicle concept, chassis and rolling stock accessories
evaluate the pros and cons of the basic structural structures and concepts of public transport vehicles
independently acquire additional professional knowledge and skills based on practical experience in the field and their evaluation
Skills
be able to effectively design and apply selected parts of a public transport vehicle in an industrial enterprise
be able to independently design parts of public transport vehicles
design the basic structures of public transport vehicles and other basic structures of chassis and two-wheel drives. Using modern software, be able to design your own solutions for the structure of the public transport vehicle
explain and have your own opinion on the resulting design solution of the public transport vehicle concept, chassis and rolling stock accessories
use your theoretical knowledge of public transport vehicles when solving practical problems
