Course content
The course is intended for students who wish to focus on machine tools and their accessories in their master theses. It focuses on the following areas: Systematic classification of machine tools, samples of turning, milling, boring, drilling and grinding machines. Machining centres. Special machine tools. Accessories of the machine tools. Design arrangement of machine tools. Fundamental design principles. Examples of machine tools design and calculation. describe i and explain possible design solutions of basic types of machine tools
to use theoretical knowledge of mechanics, elasticity and strength, machine parts and design fundamentals when designing machines and equipment
gaining additional expertise through a separate study of the theoretical knowledge of the engineering base

to use their own knowledge from the basic engineering theoretical disciplines in solving practical problems in the design of machine tools and equipment
work independently in at least one CAD system
