Course content
1. The concept of a physical experiment, physical measurement and a physical law 2. Physical quantities and units 3. Solution methods 4. Measurement errors 5. Theory of elementary errors 6. Mathematical and graphical methods of measurement results processing 7. Basic mechanical instrumentation and mechanical measurements 8. Basic electrical instrumentation and electrical measurements 9. Equipment for electrical measurements 10. Analog and digital signal processing.

  • Preparation for formative assessments (2-20) - 18 hours per semester

Knowledge
Knowledge of instrumentation and its operation at the level of high school is assumed.
learning outcomes
The students will master of basic instrumentation concepts and elementary equipment for measuring of mechanical and electrical quantities
