Course content
1. Introduction to phonetics 2. Strategies and methods of self reflection and auto evaluation 3. Length of vowels 4. Openness of vowels 5. Pronunciation exercises on vowels 6. Umlauts 7. Umlauts II. 8. Phonetic transcription 9. Working with pronunciation dictionary 10. Consonants 11. Czech and german pronunciation 12. Phonology 13. Rules of pronunciation by Duden Throughout the semester, learners keep a learning portfolio designed to observe and document their own learning progress.
