Course content
1. Specifics of Research in the Humanities Disciplines, Problem Formulation, Research Objectives, Research Questions, Hypotheses 2-3. Work Structure, Timeline, Defense Process 4-5. Heuristics - Primary and Secondary Literature, Scholarly Journals, Bibliography, Library Catalogs, Archival Sources, Language Corpora, Electronic Information Sources, Internet. Critical Source Analysis, Interpretation and Synthesis 6. Specialized Language and Academic Style in German 7-8. Formal Requirements of Scholarly Work - Footnotes, Direct and Indirect Citations, Final Bibliography, Appendices 9. Document Processing on the Computer - Formatting, Basics of Typography, Working with Electronic Dictionaries and Electronic Resources, Artificial Intelligence 10-11. Characteristics of Fundamental Research Methods in the Humanities Disciplines 12-13. Presentation of Bachelor's Thesis Projects and Their Fictional Defense
