Course content
1. The specificity and function of literature for children and youth. 2. The overview of the development of German children's literature from the Middle Ages to the present. 3. Folklore, thematic and genre classification. 4. Simple rhymes for kids, poems, lullabies, chants and how to use them in German teaching. 5. Fable in children's literature, educational use in the early foreign language teaching. 6. Enlightenment and the German children's literature. 7. Fairy tale in hours of German language. 8. Dramatization of fairy stories, using hand puppets and other teaching opportunities. 9. Girls novel and adventurous literature for boys. 10. Children German literature after 1945. 11. Selection of works of some contemporary German writers for children, teaching notes. 12. Children's magazines in the German language lessons.
