Course content

Curriculum: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, basic and advanced . Evaluation of the effectiveness of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Post-resuscitation care , indications for initiation and termination of resuscitation. Resuscitation of the newborn , children, adults . The system of care for people in acute condition . Integrated Rescue System , its development and structure . Interaction between health emergency response system , the control center and clinical departments. Communication with the patient , family members , competence in the use of information. Principles of monitoring patients in critical condition. Mechanical ventilation and oxygen therapy , treatment of patients in respiratory distress ( ARDS , asthma attack , COPD). Treatment of patients in critical condition after surgery or due to injury ( polytrauma , craniocerebral injury) . Venous access . Shock , definition and classification of shock . Clinical signs of shock and its pathophysiology . Therapy shock , multiorgan failure . Care of the patient in a state of shock . Care and treatment of special urgent conditions , cardiovascular area ( myocardial ischemia , hypertensive crisis , pulmonary edema , pulmonary embolism , cardiogenic shock) . Care and treatment of special urgent conditions , neurological disability ( impairment of consciousness , stroke , seizure ) . Care and treatment of special urgent conditions , physical damage and chemical attack , drowning , acute renal failure , acute poisoning . Care and treatment of urgent conditions in pregnancy . Care and treatment of patients with acute disorders of the internal environment .

| After having completed the course, the students understand the principles of diagnostics, the system of continuous supervision and treatment of patients affected by life-threatening diseases, injuries or complications. The students acquire knowledge of basic nursing care, i.e. the knowledge and professional skills necessary for planning, providing and evaluating health care in the respective field and for activities related to this care. The students are capable of performing chosen nursing tasks and making sense of monitoring within intensive and resuscitation care. |
| Student získá poznatky o základní ošetřovatelské péči, tzn. vědomosti a profesionální dovednosti nezbytné pro plánování, poskytování a vyhodnocování zdravotní péče v příslušném oboru a pro činnosti s touto zdravotní péčí související. |
| Dokáže prakticky provést vybrané ošetřovatelské úkony a je schopen se orientovat v problematice monitorace v rámci intenzivní resuscitační péče |
