Course content
|
Contents of lectures: History of midwifery practice in community care in the Czech Republic. Importance and definition of community care in midwifery. Multi-disciplinary collaboration. Current situation in community midwifery care in the Czech Republic and in the world. Establishing one's own community midwifery care in the Czech Republic. Community care of pregnant women. Assistance of midwives during delivery outside hospital. Community care of families after childbirth. Community care of women in menopause and post-menopause. Work of midwives with families. Creating one's own documentation for community care. Duties of midwives working in community care. Equipment, tools and devices of midwives in community care. Possibilities of further education on issues of community care. Contents of exercises: Practical experience in community practice - within departmental community care. Processing of case studies from a community environment and a proposal for complex nursing care. Work with foreign literature and discussions about practice in the Czech Republic. Work of midwives with families - problem teaching, group work. Work with the legislation necessary to establish one's own private practice. Creating one's own nursing documentation. Creating a portfolio of useful contacts in community care. Creating one's own standards - guidelines for care in a community setting. Organising research investigation to obtain new information from the field of community care in midwifery.
