Course content

Breastfeeding - the gift of life. The importance and the composition of breast milk. History of breastfeeding. Psychological aspects of breastfeeding. Proper and harmful techniques of breastfeeding. Position when breastfeeding - the advantages of individual positions, the effectiveness of the various positions. Care of breasts Pumping breast milk handling breast milk. Diet lactating women. Aids in breastfeeding. World Breastfeeding Week. Lactation League and other organizations to support breastfeeding. The most common breastfeeding difficulties on the part of mothers and their correction. The most common breastfeeding difficulties on the part of the child and their correction. Principles and lactation management consulting. Further training in lactation counseling. Case reports from practice and their solutions.
