Course content
General Surgery - distribution operations, indications, preparing a patient for surgery (general and special), postoperative care, postoperative complications and solutions. Approaches to the abdominal cavity, sutures and suture materials. Drains and catheters. Paraklické clinical and abdominal examinations. Surgical diseases of the esophagus - esophageal achalasia, esophageal stricture, hiatal hernia, gastroesophageal reflux disease, cancer of the esophagus. Etiology, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment options, complications, prevention. Surgical diseases of the abdominal wall - hernias. Etiology, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment options, complications, prevention. Surgical diseases of the stomach, duodenum, small intestine - injury of the stomach closed and open, duodenal ulcer, gastric ulcer, peptic ulcer complications, benign and malignant tumors of the stomach, duodenum other diseases, injuries of the small intestine, Crohn's disease, benign and malignant tumors of the small intestine. Etiology, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment options, complications, prevention Intestinal stoma. Types of stoma. The most common complications. Aids for ostomates.
