Course content
Congenital and developmental abnormalities - Developmental hip dysplasia, clubfoot, congenital torticollis, skoliosis congenita. Etiology, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment options, prevention. Acquired orthopedic defects - m.Perthes, coxa vara adolescentia, aseptic necrosis of the femoral head in adults, scoliosis, m. Scheuermann, etiology, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment options, prevention. Degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system - arthritis, osteoarthritis. Endoprosthetics. Inflammatory diseases - bacterial osteomyelitis, arthritis, tuberculosis of bones and joints, rheumatic diseases. Metabolic diseases - rickets, osteomalacia, osteoporosis. Bone Oncology. Bone metastases. Amputation - upper limbs, lower limbs. Prosthetics, mobility aids, rehabilitation care. Epidemiology of trauma, musculoskeletal injury mechanisms, characteristics and multiple traumas associated injuries. The issue of injury prevention. Nursing care: physical nurse examination, assessment of patient needs, determine the nursing problem. Plan nursing interventions, their implementation and evaluation. Plan and implementation of education. Specifics of nursing care in orthopedics with respect to the patient's age.
