Course content
Congenital and developmental abnormalities. Etiology, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment options, prevention. Acquired orthopedic defects. Etiology, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment options, prevention. Injuries. Etiology, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment options, prevention. Degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system. Endoprosthetics. Inflammatory diseases, rheumatic diseases. Bone Oncology. Bone metastases. Amputation. Prosthetics, mobility aids, rehabilitation care. Nursing care: physical nurse examination, assessment of patient needs, determine the nursing problem. Plan nursing interventions, their implementation and evaluation. Plan and implementation of education. Specifics of nursing care in orthopedics with respect to the patient's age.

Student - Demonstrates knowledge of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of patients with orthopedic diseases - Is able to assess the condition of the patient and formulate a plan of nursing care respecting the particularities of approach to these patients - Implements and evaluates nursing care for patients with orthopedic diseases - Educates patients and their families
