Course content
Lectures 1. Nursing process and its phase. Nursing pattern of functional health. 2. Nursing evaluation of the current health condition (obtaining information, purpose, information important for nursing care, sources of information, methods of obtaining information). 3. Differences of nursing evaluation in the case of sick, handicapped and dying. 4. Ways and forms of nursing care documentation. 5. Analysis of acquired information and nursing diagnostics. Nursing Care Planning. 6. Implementing care as planned. Implementation of nursing strategies. 7. Evaluation of achieved results, standards and quality of nursing care. 8. Bio-psycho-social unity of the organism, the concept of human needs and their classification. 9. - 10. Needs of man in nursing, Maslow's hierarchy of needs, differences in satisfaction of human needs a healthy, sick, handicapped, dying, relationship between human needs and nursing models, relationship needs human and nursing problems, the relationship between human needs and the nursing process. 11. Classification systems in nursing. 12. Selected conceptual models (Gordon, Henderson, ....) Exercise - Nursing needs assessment and intervention 1. Need for breathing and cardiac activity. 2. Need to maintain body temperature. 3. The need for nutrition and fluids. 4. Need to empty urine and faeces. 5. Need for cleanliness and hygiene. 6. The need for physical exercise. 7. Need for sleep and need to be pain free. 8. The need for security and safety. Cognitive Needs. 9. - 10. Need for information - education
