Course content
Philosophy of natural childbirth. Spirituality of birth. Significant personalities in natural obstetrics. Impact of conditions at birth on physiological birth processes. Positions of labouring women during delivery and their influence on the course of delivery. Effects of water in obstetrics. Hydrotherapy. Childbirth in water. Rituals in connection with childbirth. Lotus birth. Pain in women as a source of personal power. Aromatherapy in pregnancy, during delivery and in post-partum period. Music therapy in pregnancy, during delivery and in post-partum period. Homeopathy in pregnancy, during delivery and in post-partum period. Phytotherapy in pregnancy, during delivery and in post-partum period. Relaxation and breathing techniques in midwifery. Massage and tactile techniques in midwifery. Work with persons who accompany the mother during childbirth. Where to give birth to your baby? Childbirth at home, in a birth house and the hospital.

Students can enumerate important personalities in obstetrics. Students can describe the principles of natural obstetrics. Students illustrate the use of the correct positions during labour. Students are familiar with the basics of aroma-therapy, music therapy, phytotherapy and homeopathy. Students can apply relaxation techniques during pregnancy and delivery.
