Course content
Syllabus of lectures : Birthing forces , I. stage of labor - definition , duration , mechanism of opening the birth canal. II . Hours of labor - definition , duration, progression mechanism header in the birth canal. III . and IV. Hours of labor - definition , duration, mechanism of separation and expulsion of the placenta. Medical management of labor. Obstetric analgesia - the different methods , their advantages and disadvantages. Cardiotocography . Intrapartum fetal pulse oximetry (IFPO) , fetal ST analysis (STAN) . The physiological puerperium - early and late. Physiological newborn - postnatal adaptation , the first neonatal examination. Credit test. Syllabus of tutorials : Lifestyle in pregnancy. Travelling in pregnancy. Psychological changes in pregnancy. Prenatal communication. Non-pharmacological methods of pain relief - aromatherapy , music therapy, homeopathy , phytotherapy . Physical activity during pregnancy. Birthing wishes, birth plan . Pregnancy and motherhood in precarious situations. Pregnancy and motherhood for women with disabilities. Work in groups - case studies and case reports.
