Course content
Lectures 1. General comments on puerperium anatomy and physiology 2. Nursing process for women in physiological puerperium - puerperium physiology, monitoring women after a physiological delivery, regime and lifestyle, hygienic care, exercise in puerperium, lactation physiology, breast feeding 3. Nursing process for women after pathological puerperium - haemorrhoea in postpartum period, blood coagulability disorders, postpartum injuries, uterine inversion, temperature in puerperium, genital inflammations in puerperium, lower limb venous diseases in puerperium, thromboembolic diseases, postpartum psychological disorders 4. Nursing process for women affected by lactation disorders. 5. Educative activity of a midwife in terms of child and family issues. The roles of a father and mother in active care of a child. Practicals - follow up on the topics discussed in the lectures
