Course content
Female psychology, development to womanhood. Psychology of pregnant women, psychoprophylaxis. Adverse psycho-social factors affecting pregnancy. Psychological issues of miscarriage, abortions. Delivery as a difficult life situation. Partner present at the delivery, support of a woman in labour. Stillbirth, psycho-therapeutic work with the family. Psychological issues of work with the family to which a child with a congenital development defect was born. Psychology of puerperium. Balint groups, development of empathy, self-knowledge. Crisis intervention in the work of midwifes, psychotherapy.

Learning activities and teaching methods
  • Contact hours - 30 hours per semester
  • Preparation for comprehensive test (10-40) - 30 hours per semester
