Course content
Introduction, material and formal conception of advocacy, numerus clausus; History of advocacy in Czech countries from the oldest times up until today; Advocacy and conditions for its practicing; Forms of practicing the advocacy; Rights and duties of a advocate according to the Act on the advocacy and Ethics code I.; Rights and duties of a advocate according to the Act on the advocacy and Ethics code II.; The Czech Bar Association and its bodies; Disciplinary proceedings; A legal trainee and his relation to the employer and to the Czech Bar Association; Attorney fees and basic rules of leading of a law office; Perspectives of Czech advocacy in the European Union.

Students will analyse important historical legal documents and actual laws on advokacy, discuss about historical development of advocacy and its influence to the advocacy in 21th century.
