Course content
1. Introduction. Characteristics of the pre-November legal system. 2. Reform and reorganization of justice and prosecutor's office after the Velvet Revolution. 3. Revolution and the first steps of the transformation of the legal order in the fields of constitutional, administrative and criminal law in the years 1990-1991. 4. The first steps of the transformation of the legal order in the fields of civil and economic law in the years 1990-1991. 5. Constitutional development in the 1990s. 6. Amendments to the basic codes in 1991, adoption of the Commercial Code 7. Constitutional justice in the 1990s. Key findings concerning the settlement with the communist regime. The Council of Europe. European court for human rights. 8.Restitution of non-agricultural property. Legislation and case law. 9.Restitution of agricultural property. Legislation and case law. 10. Legal regulation and the course of large-scale privatization. Legal regulation and the course of small privatization. Trade business. 11. The profession of lawyer and commercial lawyer, the formation of independent advocacy in the 90s of the 20th century. 12.Privatisation of notaries, real estate cadastre. 13. The end of the transformation of the rule of law at the beginning of the 21st century. Full administrative justice. Execution order. Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes. Restitution of church property.
