Course content
The subject ČD2 gives basic information on the development of legal order, constitutional development and administrative organization from 1848 to 1990. It focuses first of all on the development of law in 19th and 20th centuries, especially on the historical development of modern legal systems and their connection with actual positive law and on the development of idea of Czech and Czechoslovak statehood. The development of law in Slovakia after 1918 is included too. It emphasizes also connections between Czech and Czechoslovak legal culture and European and world legal culture. The subject enables to understand the continuity of law development in our territory and the historic roots of actual positive law.
