Course content
Pedagogy as a scientific discipline about education, education as a pedagogical-psychological category, basic terminology Development of pedagogical thinking ? significant personalities of Czech and worldwide pedagogy Pedagogical streams of 20th century, their philosophical and psychological basis, reformation pedagogy and alternative schools Objectives in education. Position of pedagogue and pupil in the educational process. Pedagogical communication and management of educational process. Motivation in education. Means of education. Diagnostics in education.

  • Preparation for an examination (30-60) - 40 hours per semester
  • Preparation for formative assessments (2-20) - 10 hours per semester

Knowledge
Basic overview of knowledge in social sciences at graduate level of secondary education is supposed.
learning outcomes
Students will be familiar with basic pedagogical terminology and categories (pedagogy, education, schooling, learning, objectives, etc.), they will know significant personalities of Czech as well as worldwide pedagogy and fundamental pedagogical streams. Students will understand the specific features and outcomes of pedagogical concepts and correlations of subjects of educational process.
