Course content
The aim is to acquire basic knowledge, skills and attitudes in the field of educational research methodology. Students justify the importance of educational research and its possibilities in exploring educational reality. They will be able to analyze the possibilities and limitations of quantitative and qualitative educational research in the school environment, incl. differences in methodology. They explain the differences between scientific and educational action research. Content of lectures Educational research, its terminology and analysis (1st and 2nd lecture) Typology of educational research (3rd lecture). Planning and implementation of educational research, incl. the possibility of using the outputs in educational practice (4th-5th lecture) Basic methods of educational research (6th lecture) Qualitative educational research and its basic methods (7 to 8 lecture) . Quantitative educational research and its basic methods (7 to 8 lecture) Action research, its planning, implementation and importance in teaching practice teachers (11th lecture) 8. Význam pedagogického výzkumu v profesi učitele (12. přednáška). Importance of educational research in the teaching profession (12th lecture) 9. Zápočtový test. Credit test
