Course content
1. Introduction to Special Education, co-operating disciplines, basic terminology and structure of the field. 2. Norma and normality in special education, individual relational approach to persons with disabilities and disadvantages. 3. History and development of the relationship to people with special needs, the current paradigm of integrative and inclusive special education. 4. Actual integrative and inclusive paradigm in special education. 5. Specifics of personality and socialization of people with various kind of disabilities and disadvantages. 6. A person with disability in family and community environment. 7. Special education of people with mental disability and pervasive disorders. 8. Special education of people with sensory impairments and speech and communication disorders. 9. Special education of individuals with physical disabilities and long-term illnesses. 10. Special education of individuals with multiple disabilities. 11. Special education of individuals with social disadvantages and behavioral disorders. 12. Elementary points of diagnosis, intervention and prevention in special education. 13. Care for people with disabilities in the field of health, education and social fields.

  • Preparation for comprehensive test (10-40) - 10 hours per semester
  • Undergraduate study programme term essay (20-40) - 20 hours per semester
