Course content
1. Handicapped and impaired person in society: biological and social aspects of handicap, normality evaluation, influence of handicap on development of personality and social relations, models of attitude to disabled people, a family with a handicapped member, social integration and inclusive trends. 2. Education and social care in relationship to disabled individuals: list of basic legislation, educational institutions, social services and social support for disabled and handicapped people. 3. Specifics of attitude to visually impaired people. 4. Specifics of attitude to hearing impaired people. 5. Specifics of attitude to people with impaired communicative ability. 6. Specifics of attitude to people with handicap, long-term disease and health impairment. 7. Specifics of attitude to mentally handicapped people. 8. Specifics of attitude to people with social and sociocultural handicap. 9. Specifics of attitude to people with several defects and dysfunction.

Knowledge
The student has a basic overview of knowledge in human biology, philosophy and social sciences at the graduate level of secondary education.
learning outcomes
A student will be able to orientate himself/herself in characteristics of attitude to people with handicap or impairment or dysfunction, in terminology used in interdisciplinary connections, in classification of disorders and dysfunction. He/she will be able to acquire attitudes necessary for performance with handicapped people.
